Why does changing a layout on a pre-made design not always look good?
Most pre-made designs have columns and margins different than the defaults. Because if this their settings override the new layout's settings and sometimes have unexpected results. If you'd like to try to correct it, experiment with the following:
- Remove margin on the Content
- Remove width on the Teaser Groups
- Remove width on the Main Links
- Remove height on Header
- Set top padding to "0px" on Header
Some pre-made designs have backgrounds specifically made for a certain layout such as one with a left-hand column. Switching to a layout with a right-hand column would have no effect on the background and might look awkward.

Why does the overlay sometimes flicker on Safari?This is a known bug when you are using Safari and you have Flash elements on the page. Trying to place any element (such as the overlay) above a Flash component causes the element and the Flash component to start fighting over who gets to be on top. Even Adobe, the makers of Flash, have no solution for this problem, as you can see on their own site when you mouseover their drop-down menus:

Adobe points the finger at Safari, and Safari points the finger back at Adobe. We can only hope that future versions of Safari and/or Flash work better together.
